Pressurized Equipment, Pipes and Fittings
In co-operation with Rambøll and FORCE Technology Offshore Center Danmark invites to a one-day course.
Background
The directive for pressurized equipment (Trykudstyrsdirektivet PED), which is imperative for pressurized equipment and effective from 29th May 2002, has caused trouble and money for many companies.
The companies include oil/gas companies as well as industries within areas such as:
-
operators and owners of pressurized installations
-
authorities and verifying companies
-
consulting engineers
-
contractors and suppliers of equipment and components
Since 2001, Rambøll has been working intensively with the directive and its consequences. In this way the company has achieved a considerable experience from the oil and gas industry as well as other industry.
For many years FORCE Technology has provided advice within calculation and construction of pressurized equipment and has arranged courses in the European standards for pressurized equipment. FORCE Technology has also participated in the preparation of norms and standards within this specific field. The independent certifying body of FORCE Technology – FORCE-Dantest CERT – is an authorized body according to the directive for pressurized equipment (Trykudstyrsdirektivet PED)
Course Content
In this course the main emphasis is pipe constructions and related equipment. The experience with the directive (PED) as well as the use of ASME B31.3 and DS/EN 13480 is illustrated. A lot of this experience can be used by non oil and gas related companies, but on the other hand some of the experience from the land-based industry can with advantage be used within the oil and gas industry.
The differences and similarities between ASME B31.3 and DS/EN 13480 are described, and examples and assignments will be discussed – related to some of the problems and peculiarities with PED, ASME B31.3 and DS/EN 13480.
The course participants will be provided with a handbook with a lot of examples and tools, which can be used in day-to-day activities.
