Introduction to Offshore Oil and Gas

The offshore oil and gas industry is one of the most advanced industries in the world. Employees within the industry are specialized within many different disciplines. A complete overview of the industry can be difficult to obtain. This course is designed to change that.

The 2-day course is a unique introduction to the offshore oil and gas industry. The entire supply chain is presented at a level suitable for everybody. This will enable participants to better understand the entirety of the industry as well as become familiar with the special terminology that is often used in the offshore industry. Such skills are valuable when networking with partners or negotiating with customers.

Contents
The course gives an overview of key areas within production of offshore oil and gas, among other topics including: Geology, exploration, offshore platforms and drilling rigs, well operations, processing and distribution. Additionally the concept of HSEQ and safe behaviour is introduced.

The course consists of lectures, dialogue, group exercises and movies.

Target Group
The course is aimed at both newcomers to the industry as well as existing employees in need for an overview of the business.
No prerequisites are necessary to participate in the course.

Language
The course material is in English.
Lectures will be in English, unless all participants understand Danish.
