Goal

The overall purpose of the project is to develop human resources and jobs to attract more qualified employees and students to the offshore business and hereby ensuring continuing growth and future jobs.

The rapidly growing Danish offshore industry, to a certain degree, lacks more competent, well-educated and trained employees. As a result, the industry at times, has to say no to strategic important orders. This can over the years result in a stagnation in the present growth, and furthermore have the effect that the specialized Danish offshore competences do not develop adequately. In addition to that, the Danish offshore companies are missing out on the growing export and business opportunities in countries abroad.

The project establishes a focus on the Danish offshore business concerning 2 areas: Keeping employees in the offshore companies and educating an even more competent and trained workforce for the offshore business.

Description

Participants: Ramboll Oil & Gas, JobInVest, EAvest, AMU Vest. ANGroup, Arbejdsmiljøeksperten, Esbjerg Offshore Base, EUV Vest, Force Technology, Ocean Team Scandinavia, Semco Maritime, Syddansk Universitet, Esbjerg Tekniske Institut, Offshore Center Danmark (project administrator) as well as a number of the +185 members of Offshore Center Danmark.

  • Seminar with partners. Control group meetings to be determined.
  • Final work out of Word Packages and time schedules.

Results

- Keeping Employees in the offshore industry for longer than otherwise would have been the case.

- Developing the HR function, the education level, and the in-service training programs of selected companies.
